Job Description
- Ensure that overall welfare activities for workers comply with the Bangladesh Labor Law and the Company`s policies.
- Maintain effective communication with workers and address grievances through proper grievance handling procedures.
- Support workers in accessing welfare facilities (e.g., medical center, canteen, daycare, transport, dormitory, if applicable).
- Conduct regular counseling sessions for workers to resolve personal or workplace concerns.
- Assist new workers during onboarding/induction and ensure they are aware of company rules, benefits, and welfare services.
- Maintain accurate welfare records (maternity benefits, leave records, counseling documents, etc.).
- Coordinate maternity benefit processes — application, follow-up, documentation, and support pre-/post-maternity workers.
- Facilitate worker–management meetings (Participation Committee, Safety Committee, etc.).
- Arrange awareness training programs on personal hygiene, health, safety, and worker rights.
- Ensure that workers’ complaints and welfare concerns are reported to management and resolved in a timely manner.
- Conduct periodic welfare inspections to identify improvement areas in workplace conditions.
- Assist the HR & Compliance team during buyer audits and ensure required welfare documentation is available.
- Promote a positive work environment, build trust, and establish rapport with workers.
Experience
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Garments Accessories
Education
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)
- Bachelor of Law (LLB)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Masters
