Supply Chain Manager
Job Description
Plan, manage, and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability while minimizing inventory costs.
Coordinate with Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Production, and Project teams to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock reconciliation.
Manage transportation and distribution to ensure on-time delivery across project locations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Prepare supply chain reports, KPIs, forecasts, and operational analyses for management.
Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Supply Chain team to achieve organizational goals.
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Management.
Experience
- At least 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Govt./ Semi Govt./ Autonomous body, NGO, Super store, Grocery shop
Education
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering
Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent will be considered an added advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Age 30 to 50 years
- Only Male
Experience in trading companies, manufacturing, FMCG, government procurement, humanitarian supply, donor-funded projects, or large-scale distribution operations will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, and supplier management.
Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel across Bangladesh when required.
