General Manager- Accounts
Job Description
Lead and supervise the Accounts & Finance Department.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Develop and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT, Tax, and other statutory compliance documents.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, government agencies, and regulatory authorities.
Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital management.
Review and approve vouchers, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.
Support management with financial analysis, costing, profitability analysis, and strategic decision-making.
Oversee ERP/accounting software operations and ensure data accuracy.
Prepare financial reports for government, donor-funded, and development projects when required.
Lead and mentor the Accounts team to improve performance and efficiency.
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Management.
Experience
- At least 15 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Govt./ Semi Govt./ Autonomous body, NGO, Trading or Export/Import, Manpower Recruitment
Education
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
CA (CC) Preferred
Additional Requirements
- Age 45 to 55 years
- Only Male
Strong knowledge of IAS, IFRS, Companies Act, Income Tax, VAT, and financial regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/Accounting Software (Tally/SAP/Oracle, or equivalent).
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and decision-making ability.
