Junior Merchandiser – Development

To support the Development Merchandising team in coordinating product development activities, ensuring timely sample execution, material follow-up, and costing support while maintaining effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Coordinate with buyers, sample teams, sourcing, planning, production, and other stakeholders to ensure timely development and submission of samples.

• Follow up on fabric, trims, accessories, and other development materials to ensure availability as per development timelines.

• Assist in preparing and updating development status reports, sample trackers, and buyer communications.

• Support the costing team by collecting required consumption, material, and process-related information for cost estimation.

• Monitor sample progress and proactively identify potential delays, escalating issues to the concerned stakeholders for timely resolution.

• Maintain development files, technical documents, sample records, and buyer correspondence accurately.

• Ensure all buyer requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards are properly communicated to the relevant teams.

• Coordinate with suppliers and sourcing teams regarding material development and approval status.

• Participate in development meetings and provide regular updates on sample and material status.

• Support the merchandising team in achieving development milestones and customer satisfaction targets.

• 2 to 3 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

• Age 24 to 32 years

• Experience working with NEXT buyer will be an added advantage.

• Knowledge of garment development processes and merchandising functions.

• Basic understanding of garment costing and consumption.
