Job Description
DASCOH Foundation, as a partner organization of WaterAid Bangladesh, will implement the Civil Society Leadership in Mobilizing for Better WASH (CLIMB) Project in Niamatpur Upazila of Naogaon District. The expected outcomes of the CLIMB project are;
Civil society amplifies the voices of rightsholders to claim and secure their rights.
Civil society effectively holds duty bearers accountable to deliver on their WASH, climate and health commitments.
Decision-makers commit to gender-responsive and climate resilient WASH policies
Decision-makers commit to increased and improved gender responsive and climate-resilient WASH financing.
The Project Officer will support the implementation of project activities related to community empowerment, accountability, policy advocacy, and climate-resilient WASH governance. The position will work closely with Union Parishads, CSOs, CBOs, WatSan Committees, and community stakeholders to achieve project outcomes and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Support implementation of project activities related to CSO strengthening, community mobilisation, advocacy, accountability, and climate-resilient WASH governance.
Facilitate formation and strengthening of community-based organisations (CBOs), local leadership groups, and community platforms.
Support implementation of Participatory WASH Vulnerability Assessments (PWVA), locally led adaptation (LLA) planning, and community-led action planning processes.
Coordinate Ward Shavas, open budget sessions, public hearings, dialogue meetings, and stakeholder consultations.
Work closely with Union Parishads, WatSan Committees, government departments, CSOs, and community leaders to strengthen local governance and accountability mechanisms.
Support budget tracking, social accountability initiatives, policy advocacy activities, and evidence-based engagement with duty bearers.
Facilitate participation of women, youth, ethnic minority communities, and other marginalized groups in project activities and decision-making processes.
Assist in organizing training programmes, workshops, awareness campaigns, media engagement activities, and learning events.
Collect and document field-level evidence, case studies, success stories, lessons learned, and project achievements.
Prepare regular activity reports, field monitoring reports, and other project.
Experience
- At least 3 years
Education
Master’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Environmental Science, Climate Change, WASH-related disciplines, or any other relevant field from a recognized university.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 18 years
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in implementing development projects, preferably in WASH, climate resilience, local governance, or community development sectors.
Sound understanding of rights-based approaches, locally led adaptation (LLA), community engagement, and social accountability.
Experience in working with local government institutions, CSOs, CBOs, and community groups.
Knowledge of participatory planning processes, advocacy, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), and climate-resilient WASH approaches.
Strong communication, facilitation, networking, and coordination skills.
Ability to prepare quality reports, case studies, and project documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and digital communication tools.
Willingness to travel extensively within the project area.
Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid driving Licence will be considered an advantage.
