In-Charge (Gardening and Beautification)
Job Description
Oversee the overall planning, implementation, and supervision of landscaping and beautification as well as crop cultivation activities across designated areas.
Develop and execute garden design and improvement plans, prioritizing tasks based on seasonality, urgency, and available resources to ensure effective implementation.
Manage nursery operations, including plant propagation, seasonal flower production, and the care of indoor plants, shrubs, and trees in line with production schedules.
Ensure high standards of horticultural practices such as irrigation, trimming, pruning, fertilization, pest control, and weed management to promote sustainable plant growth.
Plan and supervise the creation of sculptures, tubs, fountains, and other decorative structures, ensuring adherence to artistic guidelines and quality standards.
Maintain accurate inventory of plants, tools, equipment, and materials; ensure timely procurement and efficient utilization of resources to avoid shortages or wastage.
Provide horticultural support and decorative arrangements for official visits, events, and special functions.
Lead and manage gardening staff and subordinates effectively, conducting field briefings, offering technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols including proper use of PPE.
Prepare and submit regular field updates, progress reports, and administrative documentation to Senior Management and the Department Head for informed decision-making.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by Senior Management and report accordingly to support overall departmental objectives.
Experience
- At least 4 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Group of Companies
Education
Masters/Bachelor degree in Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Botany from any reputed University.
Additional Requirements
- Age 25 to 40 years
- Only Male
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in landscaping, nursery management, and beautification projects.
Strong expertise in team management, planning, and implementation of horticultural activities.
Practical experience in pest control, irrigation systems, plant care, and sculpture creation.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
Creativity, problem-solving ability, and capacity for timely decision-making.
Must have knowledge Computer Office Management
