Job Description

Production Planning & Execution
  • Lead and manage end-to-end garment manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth production flow from raw material receipt to finished goods shipment.

  • Ensure timely completion of all production processes to achieve on-time shipment in accordance with buyer requirements.

  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with customer delivery schedules and factory capacity.

  • Monitor production performance continuously and take immediate corrective actions to eliminate delays and operational bottlenecks.

  • Maintain accurate production reports, KPIs, and operational records for management review and decision-making.

Production Floor Management
  • Closely supervise Cutting, Sewing, Sample, Quality, Finishing, Planning, and Packing departments to maximize productivity and efficiency.

  • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining buyer-required quality standards.

  • Monitor hourly production performance and implement productivity improvement initiatives to increase output.

  • Optimize sewing line layouts, machine allocation, workflow balancing, and manpower deployment for maximum efficiency.

  • Ensure proper line setup, production readiness, and smooth production execution before bulk manufacturing begins.

Operational Excellence & Cost Control
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and eliminate production waste.

  • Maximize factory capacity utilization while minimizing downtime, overtime, alteration, repair costs, and production losses.

  • Reduce fabric wastage and improve material utilization through effective planning and process control.

  • Monitor production consumption, costing, inventory utilization, and operational expenses to improve profitability.

  • Ensure the factory operates efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with organizational objectives.

Industrial Engineering & Productivity Improvement
  • Oversee Industrial Engineering (IE) functions, including SMV validation, line balancing, work-study, and productivity analysis.

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies to improve operational performance.

  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve workflow efficiency.

  • Monitor production KPIs including efficiency, DHU, line efficiency, absenteeism, machine utilization, and output achievement.

Quality Management
  • Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards throughout all manufacturing stages.

  • Reduce defect rates by strengthening in-line, end-line, and final quality inspection processes.

  • Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and minimize rework, alteration, and repair costs.

  • Supervise final inspection readiness, packing quality, and shipment approval processes.

Supply Chain & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning, Commercial, Warehouse, Procurement, Cutting, Sewing, Quality, Finishing, and Shipping teams to ensure uninterrupted production.

  • Track the availability of fabrics, trims, accessories, and production materials to prevent shortages.

  • Resolve cross-functional production issues promptly to maintain workflow continuity and shipment commitments.

  • Ensure smooth material flow across all production stages until shipment completion.

Workforce Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate production managers, supervisors, and operational staff to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Build a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and continuous employee development.

  • Organize technical and operational training programs to improve workforce skills, productivity, quality awareness, and safety practices.

  • Promote teamwork, discipline, accountability, and effective communication across all operational departments.

Factory Performance & Compliance
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment in accordance with company policies and buyer requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, compliance, environmental, and labor standards.

  • Monitor operational risks and implement preventive measures to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.

Buyer & Customer Coordination
  • Coordinate with merchandising teams regarding production status, sample approvals, lead times, and shipment schedules.

  • Provide timely production updates and resolve production-related concerns affecting customer deliveries.

  • Support successful buyer visits, factory audits, technical meetings, and production reviews.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through consistent delivery of quality products within committed lead times.

Experience

  • At least 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

Education

    • Bachelor/Honors
    • Masters

Additional Requirements

  • Age At least 30 years
  • Capacity to monitor and coordinate all operational activities — from order placement to shipment — ensuring smooth communication, timely delivery, and accurate execution.

  • Must have excellent English communication skills and the ability to handle buyer correspondence professionally.

  • Proven experience managing planning, factory operations, production lines, QC teams, or sample rooms.

  • Highly organized with the ability to set up production calendars, cutting plans, and workflows.

  • Problem-solving and intuitive decision-making under pressure.
