Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operator
Job Description
Operate and monitor the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to ensure uninterrupted and efficient treatment operations.
Monitor and control biological treatment processes, aeration systems, pumps, blowers and other plant equipment.
Monitor SCADA/system parameters and record operational data on a regular basis.
Collect wastewater samples and perform routine laboratory testing to ensure compliance with discharge standards.
Monitor sludge generation, dewatering and disposal activities in accordance with environmental regulations.
Inspect equipment regularly and report mechanical or electrical abnormalities for timely maintenance.
Maintain accurate logbooks, laboratory records and daily operational reports.
Ensure compliance with EHS policies, environmental regulations and wastewater discharge requirements.
Maintain good housekeeping and ensure safe operation of all WWTP facilities and equipment.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, EHS and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth and compliant plant operations.
Experience
- 1 to 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG)
Education
- Diploma in Engineering in Environment
- SSC (Vocational) in Science
- HSC in Science
Additional Requirements
- Age 18 to 35 years
Knowledge of biological wastewater treatment processes.
Hands-on experience with SCADA and process monitoring systems.
Knowledge of laboratory testing and wastewater quality parameters.
Understanding of EHS and environmental compliance requirements.
Ability to troubleshoot basic operational issues.
Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
