Forklift Operator, BRAC Dairy and Food Project
Job Description
Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jacks, etc.) to move and transport goods safely within the warehouse.
Load and unload goods from trucks or containers in a safe and efficient manner
Stack and store goods in the designated areas, ensuring products are organized according to safety and space standards.
Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
Perform daily inspections of the forklift equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or safety hazards
Assist in maintaining accurate records of stock movements and locations.
Follow all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Keep aisles clear and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
Report accidents, incidents, or any potential hazards immediately to supervisors
Safeguarding responsibilities
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Experience
- 1 to 2 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Packaging Industry, Dairy, Healthcare/Lifestyle product
Education
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 18 years
Required knowledge
Store Management, Product Handling, Food safety, Management System, Good warehouse practice.
Required skills
Effective negotiation with stake holders, Communicative and responding to assigned task. Timely product delivery, Teamwork, Relation Building & Change Management, Able to work under pressure.
Required competencies
Effective communication, exhibits patience, shows adaptability.
