Assistant General Manager - Product Development Center | Mirpur

• Lead the end-to-end product development process for knit garments from concept to pre-production.
• Manage product development activities to ensure timely sample submission and buyer approval.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Design, Fabric, Sampling, Production, QA, and IE teams to ensure smooth product development.
• Review buyer tech packs and convert design concepts into commercially viable products.
• Drive innovation by introducing new fabrics, garment constructions, washes, prints, and embellishment techniques.
• Ensure all development samples meet buyer specifications, quality standards, fit, and workmanship requirements.
• Optimise product costing through value engineering without compromising quality and buyer expectations.
• Monitor development timelines and resolve technical issues to meet critical path requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with buyers regarding product development, sample feedback, and technical clarifications.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Product Development Centre (PDC) team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify suitable fabrics, trims, and accessories for new developments.
• Ensure seamless handover of approved products to bulk production with complete technical information.
• Analyse market trends and buyer requirements to develop innovative and competitive products.
• Prepare and present development progress, sample status, and performance reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, and industry best practices throughout the product development process.

• At least 15 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

• Minimum G.C.E. (O/L or A/L) Diploma / Graduation / MBA.

• Age At least 38 years

• Strong understanding of knit garment manufacturing.

• Ability to work under tight development timelines.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Willingness to travel to factories, buyers, and overseas (if required).

• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
