We are seeking a skilled, dedicated, and compassionate Shock Wave Therapy Specialist to join our team and deliver effective Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (E.S.W.T.) services for patients with musculoskeletal, orthopedic, sports injury, and chronic pain conditions.
The ideal candidate should possess sound clinical knowledge, hands-on experience in Shock Wave Therapy, and a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
Job Responsibilities
Assess patients and determine suitability for Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) based on physician referrals and clinical findings.
Perform Shock Wave Therapy sessions following approved clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.
Evaluate patient history, symptoms, and treatment progress before each therapy session.
Educate patients regarding treatment procedures, expected outcomes, post-treatment care, and recovery plans.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain Shock Wave Therapy equipment according to manufacturer and safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate patient treatment records, therapy notes, and progress documentation.
Monitor patients during and after treatment to ensure safety and therapeutic effectiveness.
Collaborate with Orthopedic Consultants, Physiotherapists, Sports Medicine Physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
Ensure infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards are maintained throughout all procedures.
Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate routine maintenance when necessary.
Stay updated with the latest developments and evidence-based practices in Shock Wave Therapy and rehabilitation medicine.
Experience
- At least 2 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital, Physiotherapy center
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physiotherapy
- Diploma in Medical Technology in Physiotherapy
Advanced Clinical Training in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy will be considered an added advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 20 years
Strong understanding of musculoskeletal disorders, pain management, and rehabilitation principles.
Practical knowledge of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT/SWT) treatment protocols, indications, and contraindications.
Hands-on experience in administering Shock Wave Therapy (S.W.T.) for various musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions is highly preferred.
Ability to assess patient suitability for Shock Wave Therapy (S.W.T.) and monitor treatment outcomes in accordance with established clinical protocols.
Strong communication, patient counseling, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Ability to operate Shock Wave Therapy equipment safely and effectively.
Excellent patient counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Good clinical documentation and record-keeping skills.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office and Hospital Information Systems/EMR will be an advantage).
Experience working in hospitals, physiotherapy centers, rehabilitation centers, orthopedic clinics, sports medicine centers, or GCC medical centers will be considered an added advantage.
