Manager (SCD- Perishable Item)
Job Description
Execute daily sourcing and purchase operations for all perishable commodities including meat, seafood, dairy, and fresh produce.
Establish local vendor networks across primary wholesale hubs across the country/rural areas to ensure cost-competitive prices.
Negotiate pricing frameworks, credit windows, and strict delivery timelines with major agro/dairy/cattle suppliers and vendors.
Manage cold-chain logistics to ensure transport temperatures prevent spoilage from supplier to ICCB store.
Generate comparative statements (CS) for management review to maintain transparency across volatile food markets.
Coordinate kitchen demands daily with production and store to prevent over-stocking or under-stocking.
Reconcile vendor bills accurately with Store receipts and process timely documentation for Accounts Payable.
Track market price fluctuations continuously and forecast raw food cost trends to minimize seasonal budget overruns.
Experience
- At least 9 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Convention center, Party/ Community Center
Education
- Masters
Professional certifications (e.g., PGD-SCM, CSCA) will give candidates a strong competitive advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 40 years
- Only Male
At least 8 to 10 years of hands-on procurement experience.
Minimum 3 years specialized experience buying perishables for 5-star hotels, high-volume convention centers, or mega-catering corporations.
Deep industry knowledge of wholesale perishable structures, seasonal yields, and quality testing metrics in Bangladesh.
Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel for report generation.
Exceptional negotiation skills under tight windows alongside robust problem-solving capabilities.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends depending on large schedules.
