Job Description

The Brand Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic growth, equity, and market share of assigned footwear and accessory portfolios. This role sits at the intersection of consumer insights, product commercialization, and high-impact integrated marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will bridge global brand guidelines with the unique cultural dynamics of the Bangladeshi retail and wholesale landscape to ensure Bata remains the country’s destination of choice.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute long-term brand strategies and annual marketing plans to drive brand health metrics, turnover growth, and profitability.

  • Actively manage the assigned product categories, collaborating closely with the Product Development and Merchandising teams to align product pipelines with consumer expectations.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and macroeconomic shifts within the Bangladeshi fashion and retail landscape to identify new white spaces and consumer segments.

2. Campaign Execution & Integrated Marketing Communications

  • End-to-end planning, implementation, and post-campaign analysis of 360-degree marketing campaigns, particularly maximizing impact during key retail peaks (e.g., Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, Back-to-School, and Winter wedding seasons).

  • Brief, manage, and collaborate with creative, media buying, and PR agencies to deliver top-tier ATL (Above-The-Line), BTL (Below-The-Line), and digital assets.

  • Design and spearhead high-impact, experiential on-ground brand activations, mall events, and pop-up experiences to drive direct consumer engagement and footprint during peak shopping seasons.

3. Retail & Trade Marketing Excellence

  • Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to conceptualize and execute visually striking window displays and in-store activations across Bata’s retail footprints (including flagship City Stores and mega-outlets).

  • Partner with the wholesale team to devise targeted trade marketing programs for Multi-Brand Outlets (MBOs) and dealer networks across the country.

4. Data Analytics & Budget Management

  • Regularly track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Brand Awareness, Net Promoter Score (NPS), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and category-specific sales performance.

  • Efficiently manage and optimize the allocated brand marketing budget, ensuring maximizing ROI on every marketing taka spent.

Experience

  • At least 4 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Retail Store, Multinational Companies, Leather goods/ Footwear/ Tannery

Education

    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing

Additional Requirements

  • Age At least 30 years

Job Requirements

  • Education: BBA/MBA in Marketing from a top-tier university.

  • Experience: 4 to 6 years of core brand management experience, preferably within Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Footwear, Apparel Retail, or Consumer Durables industries in Bangladesh.

  • Proven Track Record: Solid experience in executing 360-degree campaigns, managing creative agencies, and handling sizable advertising budgets.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of the Bangladeshi consumer mindset, media landscape, and evolving digital ecosystem.

  • Strong data-backed decision-making capability with comfort in analyzing sales data and consumer research trends.

  • Excellent cross-functional coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent in both Bangla and English (written and verbal communications).
