Job Context

We are seeking a high-level Merchandising Administrative professional to act as a strategic assistant and executive shadow to the Managing Director. This individual will serve as the central administrative authority, guiding the merchandising team—including Assistant and Senior Merchandisers—to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will oversee all merchandising-related administrative inquiries, streamline internal workflows, and act as the primary liaison between the MD’s office and the production floor. Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Function as a Personal Shadow/Assistant to the Managing Director, managing key communications and high-priority administrative tasks.

  • Team Leadership & Guidance: Provide senior-level guidance to all merchandising staff, including Assistant and Senior Merchandisers, ensuring all targets and quality benchmarks are achieved.

  • Administrative Oversight: Serve as the primary point of contact for all administrative questions and workflow bottlenecks raised by the broader merchandising team.

  • Operational Workflow: Monitor the transition from development to bulk production, ensuring team compliance with internal documentation and reporting standards.

  • Performance Tracking: Assist the MD in reviewing reports on sales performance, production status, and margin analysis presented by the Senior Merchandising team.

  • Strategic Coordination: Ensure seamless alignment between supplier management, factory output, and the Managing Director’s vision.

Experience

  • 6 to 7 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Textile, Buying House, Boutique/ Fashion

Education

    • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
    • Diploma in Textile Engineering

Bachelors degree from any reputed university.

Additional Requirements

  • Age 30 to 35 years
  • AI & CRM/ERP: Familiarity with multiple AI programs relevant to merchandising and sourcing; knowledge of AI-integrated ERP systems for planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Confidentiality: Must maintain strict discretion and high professional maturity.

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to analyze workflows and drive team productivity.

  • Crisis Resolution: Aptitude for solving production-related issues under pressure.

  • Stakeholder Relations: Proven experience managing international and local partnerships.

  • Data Literacy: Ability to convert complex production data into executive-level insights.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to support the MD’s schedule and meet urgent business deadlines.
