Officer - Store & Warehouse
Job Description
The Warehouse Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, documentation, compliance, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role ensures accurate stock control, timely dispatch and receipt of goods, compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management:
Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching goods.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy through regular stock counts and reconciliation.
Maintain proper storage arrangements to ensure product safety and easy accessibility.
Coordinate inventory movement and maintain updated stock records.
SOP Compliance:
Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor compliance and recommend improvements to warehouse processes and controls.
Documentation Management:
Prepare and maintain invoices, delivery challans, goods receipt notes (GRN), stock transfer documents, and other warehouse-related records.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly filed for audit and operational purposes.
Legal & VAT Compliance:
Maintain and process VAT-related documents in compliance with applicable regulations.
Ensure proper recordkeeping of legal, regulatory, and compliance documents related to warehouse operations.
Coordinate with relevant departments during audits and regulatory inspections.
Data Entry & System Management:
Accurately enter inventory, dispatch, and receiving data into ERP systems and other software applications.
Update warehouse records and databases regularly to ensure data integrity.
Reporting:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse and inventory reports.
Generate operational and supply chain performance reports for management review.
Analyze stock movement and identify discrepancies or operational issues.
Coordination & Communication:
Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Respond to inquiries from stakeholders and resolve warehouse-related issues promptly.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Experience
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Trading or Export/Import, Group of Companies
Education
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)
