Officer - Production (Sewing / Cutting / Finishing)
Job Description
Sewing Unit Operations
Assist the team leader with routine tasks and submit daily activity reports to the line manager.
Maximize manpower and equipment utilization; check hourly production and run line-by-line efficiency studies.
Manage size-wise input and just-in-time accessories supply to secure timely shipments.
Track input challans/output records, minimize rejections, and meet buyer quality standards.
Flag major problems immediately and discuss operational issues in production meetings.
Cutting Unit Operations
Oversee spreading, laying, fabric relaxation, marker making, and cutting machine operations.
Check fabric plies, width, alignment, and ensure compliance with approved markers and consumption sheets.
Keep cutting loss within targets and inspect cut panels for shape, size, and notch accuracy.
Supervise bundling, numbering, and sorting for timely delivery to the sewing floor.
Maintain records for output, consumption, and rejections while following safety, compliance, and PPE rules.
Finishing Unit Operations
Supervise trimming, spot cleaning, ironing, folding, tagging, and packing operations.
Match finishing, labeling, care instructions, and size sets exactly to buyer artwork and packing lists.
Track hourly output reports, isolate defective garments, and prepare for inline/final QA inspections.
Control packing assortments, ratios, and quantities for timely dispatch to the warehouse.
Maintain floor safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards, and address floor problems with the line manager.
Experience
- At least 2 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Buying House, Group of Companies
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 25 years
2 to 3 years of solid experience as an Officer Production.
Team building, enthusiastic, innovative and result oriented Keen knowledge about operation breakdown or machine layout.
Strong knowledge about bottleneck point, line balancing, SMV efficiency and sample making.
Ability to ensure quick changeover and analyze & assess product risks, critical operations, quality issues in advance before production.
Willing to stay beside factory at own accord.
Well conversant in MS-Office.
