Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Supply Chain (Sourcing)

Montrims Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Engineer for the position of Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Supply Chain (Sourcing). The incumbent will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier development, procurement planning, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely availability of chemical raw materials and production-related inputs to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure chemical raw materials, coatings, and other production-related materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop local and international suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
• Conduct supplier negotiations regarding pricing, quality, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Analyze market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and supply risks to develop effective sourcing strategies.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, Quality Assurance, Commercial, and Finance teams to forecast material requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability while maintaining optimum stock levels.
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and chemical safety standards.
• Support import sourcing activities, including supplier communication, documentation, and shipment follow-up.
• Prepare sourcing reports, cost analyses, and procurement performance metrics.

• 4 to 8 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Chemical Industries, Packaging Industry, Garments Accessories

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemical Technical/Engineering
• Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology,Shahjalal University of Science & Technology students will get preference

• Additional qualifications in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be an added advantage.

• Age 25 to 45 years

• Strong technical understanding of industrial chemicals and raw materials.
• Excellent supplier sourcing and negotiation skills.
• Sound knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
