Job Description

1. Procurement and Purchasing

• Requisition Processing: Review and process purchase requisitions from various departments like the pharmacy, ICU, OT, and administration.

• Quotation Management: Collect quotations from approved vendors, prepare Comparative Statements (CS), and assist in selecting the best suppliers based on price and quality.

• Purchase Orders (PO): Issue official POs after obtaining necessary departmental and management approvals.

2. Inventory and Store Coordination

• Stock Monitoring: Track stock levels for critical items (medicines, reagents, surgical consumables) to prevent stock-outs.

• Inventory Control: Implement stock management methods like FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or FEFO (First Expiry-First-Out) to manage expiry and reduce waste.

• Storage Compliance: Ensure medical supplies are stored under correct conditions, such as temperature controlled "cold chain" storage for certain medicines and laboratory reagents.

3. Vendor and Supplier Management

• Relationship Building: Maintain effective communication with existing suppliers and identify new potential vendors.

• Negotiation: Negotiate prices, lead times, and payment terms to achieve cost savings for the hospital.

• Performance Evaluation: Monitor vendor performance regarding delivery timelines and the quality of goods received.

4. Documentation and Reporting

• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all procurement stages, including GRN (Goods Received Notes), delivery challans, and invoices.

• MIS Reporting: Prepare monthly reports on stock status, cost-saving initiatives, and consumption analysis for management review.

• ERP Usage: Frequently update and maintain data in specialized ERP or Supply Chain Management (SCM) software.

Experience

  • 1 to 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital

Education

    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management
PGD in SCM

  • Age 25 to 35 years
