Job Description

Key Area 1: Core Teaching & Facilitation

  • Conduct regular classes in Learning Centers (LCs/CBLFs) and maintain responsibility for at least three learning facilities.

  • Prepare lesson plans before taking each class.

  • Conduct learners’ home visits when needed.

  • Decorate the Learning Facilities (LCs/CBLFs) as required.

  • Read and follow the Teachers’ Guide (TG).

  • Attend Capacity Building Trainings and TLCs for teachers.

  • Communicate with local leaders, Imams, Majhi, and parents.

  • Carry out continuous awareness building with community people.

  • Maintain good knowledge of the national curriculum and education system.

  • Support enrollment of learners.

  • Organize and support session activities for CESG, children, adolescents, and caregivers.

  • Identify children with protection needs and refer them to appropriate services.

  • Communicate effectively in English and Bengali (Chittagonian dialect highly preferable) – essential.

  • Report any violation of child safeguarding and PSEA policies of FIVDB.

  • Work on an emergency basis during emergencies and when necessary.

  • Maintain FIVDB and donor policies at all times.

  • Perform any other tasks relevant to the position as assigned by the supervisor(s).

Key Area 2: Coordination & Relationship Building

  • Maintain frequent communication with project personnel, including supervisor(s).

  • Build strong rapport with learners and community members.

Key Area 3: Documentation

  • Maintain registers and hard copies with full details (enrollment, attendance, visits, home visits, stock registers, etc.).

  • During emergencies, manage day-to-day activities remotely and follow up via SMS/phone call/WhatsApp group.

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Submit case stories every month.

Key Area 4: Planning

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly plans and submit them to the supervisor(s) regularly.

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Education

    • HSC

Additional Requirements

  • Age 22 to 32 years
  • Workplace: FDMN Camp 1W, 06, 21 & 26

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali; fluency in Chittagonian dialect highly preferable.

  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and education system.

  • Ability to build rapport with learners, caregivers, and community stakeholders.

  • Willingness to work on an emergency basis when required.
