Junior System Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, networks, and related infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
• Manage users, groups, permissions, and enforce security best practices via SELinux and firewall.
• Set up and maintain LVM, partitions, and file systems.
• Handle software installation and updates using YUM and RPM package managers.
• Configure and troubleshoot network settings on Linux servers.
• Troubleshoot system issues including bootloader errors, service failures, and file system problems.
• Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches in both LAN and WAN environments.
• Hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing to effectively segment and manage network traffic.
• Configure and manage Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) to prevent loops in switching environments.
• Good knowledge and implementation skills on Network Monitoring tools like Cacti, Nagios, Zabbix.
• Monitor network performance and uptime; perform diagnostics using tools like Ping, Traceroute, and Cisco Packet Tracer.
• Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide technical support and training to staff on various IT systems and applications.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
• Document IT systems, configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements as needed.

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology

• CCNA Certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
• RHCSA Certification (Red Hat Certified System Administrator).

• Age At least 25 years
• Only Male

Required Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience in both network and Linux system administration.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and IP subnetting.
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS CLI and Linux shell scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
