Deputy Manager (Procurement)
Job Description
- Lead and manage procurement activities for all business units of the Group from the Head Office.
- Procure industrial machinery, mechanical & electrical spare parts, construction materials, factory consumables, office equipment and other operational requirements.
- Develop procurement strategies to ensure timely, cost-effective and quality sourcing of goods and services.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and project teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services as per the agreed schedule.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Maintain and update procurement records, supplier databases, purchase history, and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, and company procedures throughout the procurement process.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and contract conditions to achieve maximum commercial benefit.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and business partners.
- Perform any other procurement-related tasks assigned by the management.
Experience
- 7 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Group of Companies, Automobile, Auto Rice Mill, Building & Construction Materials
Education
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Commerce
- Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management
Additional Requirements
- Age 40 to 50 years
- Only Male
Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.
Experience in a Group of Companies, Manufacturing, Steel, Engineering, Construction or Industrial Organization is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement planning, vendor development and contract negotiation.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of procurement policies, comparative statement (CS) preparation, supplier evaluation and inventory coordination.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/Purchase Management Systems.
