Job Description
About the Role
The Group CFO will act as the key financial advisor to the Board and senior management, driving financial strategy, governance, and performance across multiple business units (FMCG, chemical, and heavy manufacturing). The role includes leadership of finance, treasury, taxation, audit, risk management, and fundraising initiatives while ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-wide financial strategy, FP&A, and business planning across FMCG, manufacturing, and economic zone operations
Provide Board-level reporting, financial modeling, and data-driven insights to support strategic decisions
Extensive experience in project financing, syndicated loans (local & foreign banks), FDI structuring, and IPO readiness (DSE/CSE/BSEC compliance)
Strong expertise in capital structure optimization
Treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and Foreign Exchange Risk Management
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh regulatory frameworks: NBR (Tax & VAT), Bangladesh Bank, BIDA, BEZA, BEPZA, and Companies Act
Lead corporate governance, internal audit, risk management (ERM), and IFRS-compliant financial reporting
Drive cost optimization, standard costing, inventory control, and supply chain finance within FMCG & industrial operations
Improve procurement efficiency, vendor financing, and trade finance (LC, UPAS, import/export financing)
Build and lead high-performing finance teams, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder management (Board, investors, banks, regulators)
Strong exposure, ideally to manufacturing and multinational environment, joint ventures, and large group consolidation
Lead ERP implementation (SAP/Oracle/ERP systems), MIS reporting, and BI tools (Power BI, advanced Excel) for real-time analytics
Drive digital transformation, automation, and process re-engineering across finance functions
Focus on value creation, profitability improvement, scalability, investment evaluation, and ensure sustainable growth
Drive change management to guide teams through digital transformation
Lead, mentor, and grow a large team and guide an train the team
Experience
- At least 20 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG)
Education
MBA / Master’s in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Professional qualification (FCCA / FCA / CPA / FCMA) is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Age 45 to 60 years
At least 7 years in senior leadership roles (CFO / Finance Director)
Strong experience in FMCG or large-scale manufacturing environments
Exposure to organizations with significant turnover (BDT 100 Billion+)
Demonstrated capability in leading large team and managing human-side transition and stakeholder buy-in
Strong expertise in budgeting, fundraising, investment planning, and cash flow management
Advanced proficiency in Excel, MIS, ERP (SAP/Oracle preferred)
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
