Job Description

1. Supervise and coordinate all finishing activities, including pressing, folding, packaging, and quality control.

2. Train, mentor, and motivate finishing department staff to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.

3. Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of finished garments.

4. Monitor production efficiency and identify areas for improvement to optimize workflows.

5. Collaborate with other departments, such as Production, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to streamline operations and resolve any issues that may arise.

6. Implement and enforce safety guidelines and best practices in the finishing department.

7. Manage inventory of finishing supplies and equipment, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for replenishment.

8. Conduct regular performance evaluations of finishing department employees and provide feedback for improvement.

9. Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity in the finishing department.

10. Oversee the inspection of finished garments for quality defects and ensure compliance with specifications.

11. Collaborate with the Quality Control team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.

12. Maintain detailed records of production output, quality metrics, and employee performance.

13. Resolve any conflicts or issues within the finishing department and escalate to the Finishing Manager when necessary.

14. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in garment finishing techniques.

15. Plan and coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak production periods.

16. Participate in departmental meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and strategize for future goals.

17. Assist in the implementation of training programs for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing employees.

18. Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and waste-reduction strategies in the finishing department.

Experience

  • 5 to 7 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Buying House, Group of Companies

Education

    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

Additional Requirements

  • Age 24 to 40 years
  • Proven experience working in finishing department in the garments industry.

  • Knowledge of garment production processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
