Veterinary Care Assistant (Vet Assistant)

Pawspital is a 24-hour veterinary hospital committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care for animals. As we continue to grow, we are looking for dedicated and passionate Veterinary Assistants who genuinely care for animal welfare and can support our medical team in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Safely handle and restrain animals (dogs and cats) during procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of hospital premises, equipment, and patient areas
• Support in feeding, cleaning, and basic care of admitted animals
• Monitor patients and report any changes in condition to the veterinary team
• Ensure proper sanitation and follow clinic safety protocols
• Assist in managing patient flow during busy hours

• At least 1 year
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Animal/Plant Breeding

• Diploma in Livestock
• Diploma in Agriculture
• HSC

• Minimum HSC or equivalent (preferred)

• Age At least 22 years

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role (2+ years will be given priority)
• Must be comfortable handling dogs and cats
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 hospital environment
• Must be open to 12-hour roster duty with rotational shifts (day/night/overnight)
