Senior Structural Design Engineer (Civil & Steel)

Masud Steel Design BD Ltd. is one of the growing engineering, steel structure, and construction companies in Bangladesh. We are involved in the design, fabrication, and construction of industrial buildings, commercial facilities, infrastructure, and government projects. To strengthen our Engineering Division, we are looking for highly experienced, dynamic, and self-motivated professionals for the following positions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, technical review, and engineering coordination for steel and reinforced concrete structures. The position requires close collaboration with clients, consultants, project teams, and production personnel to ensure safe, economical, and code-compliant designs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design of Steel Structures (PEB & Conventional Steel Buildings) and RCC Structures.
Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and technical documents.
Develop optimized, economical, and innovative structural solutions.
Candidates having experience in Government and National Mega Projects will be given preference.
Review structural drawings and coordinate with the detailing team.
Ensure compliance with BNBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE, Eurocode, and project specifications.
Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders whenever required.
Conduct site visits for design verification, technical inspections, and engineering support.
Provide technical guidance during fabrication and project execution.
Coordinate with production, estimation, procurement, and project management teams.
Experience
- At least 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Steel
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a Public University.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 30 years
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
Must have extensive experience in both Steel Structure Design and RCC Structure Design.
Candidates having experience in Government and National Mega Projects will be given preference.
Additional Requirements
Strong knowledge of ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, Tekla Structural Designer, or equivalent engineering software.
Excellent understanding of international design standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
Creative mindset with the ability to develop cost-effective engineering solutions.
Good presentation and communication skills.
Willingness to travel for project site inspections and client meetings.
