Senior Merchandiser
Job Description
Handle end-to-end merchandising activities from order inquiry to shipment.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers, sourcing offices, and overseas customers.
Receive and analyze buyer inquiries, prepare cost sheets, and negotiate prices to secure orders.
Coordinate with product development, design, sampling, and technical teams for sample approval.
Ensure timely sourcing of fabrics, trims, accessories, and other raw materials.
Work closely with suppliers to maintain quality, lead time, and competitive pricing.
Prepare Time and Action (T&A) plans and monitor all milestones to ensure on-time execution.
Coordinate with production, planning, quality assurance, commercial, and logistics teams to achieve shipment targets.
Monitor production status and resolve any issues affecting delivery schedules.
Conduct order risk assessments and proactively implement corrective actions.
Ensure buyer compliance requirements and product quality standards are met.
Manage order amendments, consumption updates, costing revisions, and shipment changes.
Prepare and present merchandising reports, order status updates, and KPI reports to management.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify business opportunities.
Support business development by generating new inquiries and expanding existing accounts.
Maintain accurate ERP records, merchandising documentation, and buyer communications.
Collaborate with commercial and shipping teams to ensure smooth documentation and export processes.
Lead, coach, and mentor junior merchandisers to improve team performance.
Ensure effective communication among all internal departments and external stakeholders.
Perform any other merchandising and marketing responsibilities assigned by management.
Experience
- At least 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Group of Companies
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing
BSc. in Apparel Manufacturing.

Candidates must have hands-on experience in knit garments sector.
Direct buyer handling and communication.
