Textile Fabric Designer – Circular Knits

We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Textile Fabric Designer specializing in circular knit fabrics. The candidate will be responsible for developing innovative knit structures, fabric concepts, and seasonal developments aligned with global fashion trends and buyer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new circular knit fabric concepts (Single Jersey, Rib, Interlock, Terry, Jacquard, etc.)

• Work closely with R&D, knitting, dyeing, and finishing teams to ensure execution feasibility

• Create and maintain fabric swatch library / fabric register with detailed specifications (GSM, composition, structure)

• Research and interpret global trends (AW/SS) into commercial fabric developments

• Develop yarn combinations and blend innovations (Cotton, Modal, Viscose, Lycra, Polyester, etc.)

• Monitor and improve fabric hand feel, drape, and performance

• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams for buyer presentations and developments

• Ensure timely development aligned with sampling and production timelines

• Maintain documentation in ERP / tech packs / development trackers

• Troubleshoot development issues with cross-functional teams

• 4 to 8 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Group of Companies

• Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Textile Engineering
• Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Fashion Designing

• Age At least 30 years

Strong knowledge of:

• Circular knitting machines (Single Jersey, Rib, Interlock)

• Yarn types and blends

• Dyeing, finishing, and garment dye processes

Good understanding of GSM, stitch length, shrinkage, and fabric behavior

Experience working with export-oriented garment industries

Strong trend research and forecasting ability

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop (preferred)

Knowledge of ERP systems and fabric tracking
