Job Description
The USTC Human Resources Office is looking for an experienced, skilled, dynamic and self-motivated individual to lead and manage the HR issues relating to faculty members and administrative staff.
The applicant will work together, developing common systems and processes, standardized on the best practice and ensuring that the University regulations and procedures are adhered to as per the Private University Act 2010.
The applicant will also be in regular communication with the employees (maintaining matters of confidentiality) and potential employees. So the applicant will need to have excellent organizational skills, demonstrate good use of initiative, and be able to interpret and apply complex information.
Job Responsibilities
Contribute to formulation and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensure these are up-to-date, legally compliant, and commensurate with international standards;
Identify and recruit talented faculty and staff who will contribute towards USTC mission;
Develop key performance indicators and goal setting of the different level employees with their supervisor;
Manage the performance evaluation of faculty and staff;
Management of staff transition i.e. probation, confirmation, increment, and transfer and issuance letter on time;
Develop a training strategy and manage the same;
Manage Payroll system;
Coordinate annual performance appraisal process;
Maintain records and prepare reports for senior management;
Ensure all job descriptions are kept up to date and create new ones;
Deal with any performance or grievance issues in a legally compliant way;
Design, develop and implement proper career planning for people;
Develop and implement 'new' employee orientation program(s);
Execute any other assignment as and when required by the University management.
Education
Masters in any discipline, preference for MBA or equivalent business degree;
PGD in HRM will be given preference.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 18 years
Experience
At least 10 years, with a minimum of 3 years as Senior Manager or higher level in a corporate or educational institution.
Skills
Proven experience as HR Director or similar role;
Conversant with labor laws of the country;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills;
High level of IT skills-emailing, G Suite, Excel, and Social media apps.
