Welfare Officer/ Sr. Officer

Job Description
- Ensure the overall welfare and well-being of employees within the factory.
- Handle worker grievances, counseling, and conflict resolution in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote effective communication between management and employees.
- Coordinate employee engagement programs, awareness campaigns, and welfare activities.
- Monitor compliance with BEPZA regulations, Bangladesh Labor Law (where applicable), buyer Codes of Conduct, and company policies.
- Support audits related to social compliance and employee welfare.
- Maintain records related to worker welfare, complaints, disciplinary matters, and employee counseling.
- Coordinate medical support, emergency response, and employee assistance programs.
- Liaise with BEPZA authorities and other relevant stakeholders regarding welfare-related matters.
- Assist HR in onboarding, orientation, and employee retention initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions on workplace ethics, health & safety, anti-harassment, and employee rights.
Experience
- 3 to 6 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Social Welfare, Sociology, Psychology, Law, or a related discipline.
Additional Requirements
- Age 25 to 30 years
- Only Female
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Welfare Officer in a garment manufacturing factory, preferably within an EPZ.
- Sound knowledge of BEPZA regulations, labor laws, social compliance requirements, and international buyer standards.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, counseling, and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English.
