Head of Business - Elevator/Lift
Job Description
1. Business Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement short-term and long-term business strategies aligned with company objectives.
Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and growth initiatives.
Prepare and execute annual business plans, budgets, and revenue targets.
Lead organizational transformation and business expansion initiatives.
Represent the company in strategic meetings, negotiations, and industry forums.
2. Sales & Business Development
Achieve annual sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
Develop strategies for new equipment sales, modernization, and maintenance contracts.
Build and maintain relationships with developers, consultants, architects, contractors, and government agencies.
Lead tendering, contract negotiation, and key account management activities.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
3. Operations & Project Management
Ensure timely execution of installation projects within budget and quality standards.
Monitor project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project milestones.
Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Service & Maintenance Management
Ensure effective management of maintenance contracts and customer service operations.
Improve service response time, customer satisfaction, and equipment reliability.
Monitor service revenue growth and contract renewals.
Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
5. Financial Management
Prepare and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor profitability, cash flow, collections, and operational expenses.
Ensure effective working capital management.
Review monthly business performance and take corrective actions where necessary.
Drive cost optimization and productivity improvements.
6. Supply Chain & Procurement
Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory, and vendor management.
Ensure timely sourcing of elevator and escalator components.
Manage relationships with international principals, manufacturers, and suppliers.
Optimize inventory levels and supply chain efficiency.
7. Customer Relationship Management
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Resolve critical customer complaints and escalations.
Build long-term strategic relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Enhance the company`s brand reputation in the market.
8. People Management
Lead, coach, and develop departmental heads and employees.
Establish performance goals and conduct periodic performance reviews.
Develop succession plans and talent management initiatives.
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.
9. Compliance, Safety & Governance
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and industry regulations.
Maintain high standards of workplace safety and quality.
Implement corporate governance and risk management practices.
Ensure adherence to ethical business standards.
Experience
- At least 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Escalator/Elevator/Lift
Education
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
