Position Summary: The Vice Principal (Primary Section) will provide strong instructional leadership and strategic direction to ensure outstanding teaching, learning, assessment, student wellbeing, and professional development throughout the Primary Section.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of School, academic leaders, teachers, students, and parents to maintain high standards of academic achievement, discipline, character development, and educational innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership

  • Lead and oversee the academic programme of the Primary Section.

  • Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, assessment, and reporting systems.

  • Promote high-quality teaching and learning practices.

  • Monitor student progress and academic performance.

  • Analyse academic data and implement improvement strategies.

  • Conduct lesson observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.

  • Ensure academic excellence and continuous school improvement.

Teaching & Learning

  • Promote inquiry-based, student-centred, and active learning approaches.

  • Support curriculum planning and instructional delivery.

  • Ensure effective differentiation to meet diverse learning needs.

  • Foster innovation and the effective use of educational technology.

Staff Leadership & Professional Development

  • Mentor, coach, and support teachers to achieve professional excellence.

  • Lead teacher appraisal and performance management processes.

  • Organise training programmes, workshops, and professional learning opportunities.

  • Promote a collaborative and reflective professional culture.

Student Development & Wellbeing

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

  • Promote student wellbeing, engagement, and personal growth.

  • Support behaviour management and positive discipline practices.

  • Encourage leadership, responsibility, and student voice.

Parent & Community Engagement

  • Develop strong partnerships with parents and guardians.

  • Conduct parent meetings and academic consultation sessions.

  • Address concerns professionally and constructively.

  • Promote effective home-school communication.

Administration & School Operations

  • Assist the Head of School in strategic planning and school improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate examinations, assessments, school events, and academic programmes.

  • Prepare reports, documentation, and educational records as required.

Islamic Character Development

  • Promote Islamic values, manners, and Tarbiyah across the Primary Section.

  • Foster a culture of respect, responsibility, honesty, and compassion.

  • Support the integration of Islamic teachings with academic learning.

Experience

  • At least 7 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): College, School

Education

    • Masters
  • B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent professional teaching qualification preferred.

  • Strong academic background with excellent communication skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Age At least 30 years

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of teaching experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a school environment.

  • Experience in English Medium, International, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, or British Curriculum schools preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in academic leadership and school improvement.
