Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Engineering (IE) Manager to lead and optimize our production operations at our textile and garments manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing productivity, reducing operational costs, improving process flow, and implementing lean manufacturing principles to ensure efficiency across the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:·    

  •      Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in the garments/textile manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial or lead role.

  • Especially, the Experience of Buyers like: Kontoor, Otto, LPP, ZARA, Bonprix      

  •   Familiarity with global brands` quality requirements (e.g., H&M, Inditex, Walmart, etc.)·

  • Lead and manage the IE department, overseeing a team of engineers and supervisors. 

  •       Conduct time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing for all styles.

  •     Design and implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve productivity and minimize waste.·     

  •     Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and establish standard minute values (SMVs).·    

  •      Monitor production KPIs, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for process improvement.·  

  •        Collaborate closely with the production, planning, merchandising, and quality teams to ensure seamless workflow and on-time delivery.·   

  •       Provide training and capacity-building support to production teams to enhance skill development and operational efficiency.·   

  •       Drive automation, layout planning, and cost-reduction initiatives across departments.· 

  •         Strong knowledge of IE tools, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and production planning.·   

  •       Proficient in using ERP systems, production tracking software, and Microsoft Office.·

  •      Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, Strong interpersonal skills ·  

  •   Monitor and control the man-machine ratio status at every point in time.     

  •  Perform SMV calculation, consumption, line layout, line balancing, etc.·    

  •      Initiate different types of training related to IE ·  

  •        Implement new IE tools and techniques to ensure higher efficiency.·       

  •   Prepare the necessary data driver presentation for the company development.·   

  •       Ensure per machine cost, calculate CPM, and other issues related to cost effectiveness.·   

  •       Management assigns some other responsibilities as and when required.

Education

    • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Industrial Engineering
    • Masters in Engineering (MEngg) in Textile Technology
