Structural Engineer

Job Context: We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Structural Engineer to design, model, and analyze structural systems for our real estate and residential projects. The ideal candidate must possess deep technical knowledge of building materials, load-bearing capacities, and building codes (BNBC) to ensure the safety, stability, and durability of our structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structural Design: Perform structural analysis and design for multi-storied building projects using engineering software.

• Drawing & Detailing: Guide drafting teams to prepare precise structural working drawings, including foundation, column, beam, and slab details.

• Compliance & Codes: Ensure all structural designs strictly comply with BNBC (Bangladesh National Building Code) and RAJUK/Pourashava safety regulations.

• Material Estimation: Provide accurate estimations of construction materials (rebar, concrete mix, etc.) based on structural models to optimize costs.

• Site Verification: Visit project sites periodically to inspect ongoing construction and ensure work matches structural designs.

• Problem Solving: Review and resolve any unexpected structural challenges or revisions required during the construction phase.

• 3 to 6 years

• Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Civil Engineering

• Age 30 to 50 years
• Only Male

BUET, KUET, CUET, RUET, SUST, AUST, NSU, BRACK, UAP Graduates will get preference.

Technical & Software Mastery

• Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on expertise in structural analysis and design software, specifically ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD.

• Code Compliance: Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of the BNBC (Bangladesh National Building Code), as well as international standards including ACI (American Concrete Institute), ASCE, and ASTM.

• Design Specialization: Proven experience in designing high-rise residential/commercial buildings, deep foundations (piles, raft foundations), and earthquake/wind-resistant structures.

  Professional Qualifications & Experience

• Active membership or registration with the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) is highly preferred.

• Strong track record of preparing structural calculations, vetting reports, and dealing with statutory regulatory bodies (RAJUK, CDA, PWD) for seamless design approvals.

  Material & Site Quality Control

• Deep understanding of construction material testing methodologies (e.g., concrete cylinder tests, steel tensile strength tests) and on-site quality assurance.

• Ability to conduct strategic site audits to verify that steel reinforcement binding, concrete mixing/casting, and structural elements align 100% with the approved blueprints.

  Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

• Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Exceptional capability to coordinate smoothly with the Senior Architect, MEP Engineers, and Project In-charges to resolve design conflicts instantly.

• High analytical and problem-solving skills to address critical, time-sensitive structural challenges on the field.

• Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills for top management communication.
