Hatchery Manager (BRAC Fisheries Enterprise)
Job Description
Prepare yearly production plan and budget for hatchery operation.
Implement the production plan and achieve the profit target as per approved budget.
Delegate production activity to the respective persons and ensure their job accomplishment through regular monitoring and follow up.
Coordinate with sales team for smooth sale of the produced products and strive for continuous improvement of product quality and customer service.
Ensure the compliance of organizational and government regulatory requirements in all aspects of hatchery operation.
Maintain necessary documentation, prepare necessary reports and keep effective communication with the respective management.
Keep effective liaison with all internal and external stakeholders for smooth operation of the hatchery
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by management
Experience
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Fisheries, Livestock
Education
The candidate must hold an MSc in Fisheries with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or the equivalent of a second class / division, or comparable academic standing in all examinations from a recognized university
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 30 years

Demonstrated proficiency in strategic planning, production systems, supply chain logistics, financial stewardship, and holistic business operations aimed at achieving sustained fiscal performance and organizational growth
Exemplary capabilities in advanced communication, critical analysis, complex problem-solving, and data-driven reporting, essential for effective decision-making and stakeholder engagement
Possession of key leadership attributes, including self-awareness, adaptability in ambiguous environments, relational intelligence, future-oriented thinking, moral courage, strategic prioritization, and a commitment to nurturing talent and organizational capacity
Comprehensive understanding of budgeting principles and budgetary control mechanisms, with the ability to implement financial governance and optimize resource allocation
High resilience and the capability to achieve results in high-stakes, deadline-driven environments
