Vibration Analyst
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Collect and analyze vibration data from critical plant equipment using portable and online monitoring systems.
Diagnose machinery faults including:
Bearing defects
Imbalance
Misalignment
Mechanical looseness
Resonance issues
Gear and coupling faults
Electrical motor-related problems
Monitor the condition of rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, turbines, fans, blowers, gearboxes, and conveyors.
Generate detailed condition monitoring reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
Maintain vibration analysis databases, equipment histories, and trend reports.
Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Conduct route-based inspections and periodic condition assessments.
Collaborate with maintenance planners and operations personnel to schedule corrective maintenance activities.
Verify equipment condition following repairs, overhauls, and installations.
Participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations.
Assist in improving plant reliability, equipment availability, and maintenance strategies.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry best practices.
Train and mentor maintenance personnel on basic vibration awareness and condition monitoring techniques when required.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Industrial Machineries (Generator, Diesel Engine etc.)
Education
- Diploma in Mechanical in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

- Strong knowledge of vibration analysis principles and machinery diagnostics.
- Ability to interpret FFT spectra, time waveforms, phase analysis, and vibration trends.
- Understanding of: Rotating equipment reliability
- Bearing failure analysis
- Shaft alignment
- Dynamic balancing
- Lubrication practices
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with condition monitoring software and data management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
