Job Description
Context: We are looking for a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented Retail Interior
Designer & Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will not just design; you will take full ownership of our retail spaces. You will be responsible for evaluating existing showrooms, identifying aesthetic and functional issues, and independently proposing innovative, cost-effective solutions. From conceptualizing designs for new showrooms to coordinating with on-site vendors for flawless execution, you will play a key role in elevating our brand’s visual identity.
Core Responsibilities:
- Showroom Assessment & Problem Solving: Regularly visit and monitor all existing showrooms to evaluate layout efficiency, lighting, and overall aesthetics. Independently identify areas of improvement and implement creative solutions to enhance the customer experience.
- New Showroom Design: Conceptualize, plan, and design modern, premium interior layouts for new showrooms, offices, and tailoring spaces from scratch.
- Visual Merchandising & Aesthetics: Take full responsibility for elevating showroom beauty and ensuring the product display/visual merchandising aligns perfectly with our brand identity.
- Material & Finish Selection: Carefully select high-quality materials, furniture, lighting fixtures, and finishes that match the brand's premium standards and budget.
- Project Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact and collaborate seamlessly with architects, vendors, and contractors to ensure design implementation matches the approved plan.
- Visualization & Documentation: Create accurate 2D layouts, detailed working drawings, 3D design visualizations, mood boards, and presentations for management approval.
- Site Supervision: Supervise on-site progress closely to ensure quality construction, resolve real-time technical issues, and guarantee timely project completion within budget.
- Trend Adaptation: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of global retail interior trends, materials, and innovations to keep our showrooms ahead of the competition.
Experience
- 5 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies
Education
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Architecture
- Master of Arts (MA) in Architecture
- Bachelor/Honors
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from any reputed university.
- Diploma holders in Interior Design or Architecture with outstanding portfolios and extensive practical experience in retail/showroom projects are also highly encouraged to apply.
- Professional certification in Project Management or Visual Merchandising will be considered an added advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Age 25 to 35 years
- Only Male
- Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years of practical experience in retail shop design, luxury showroom layout, or commercial interior styling.
- Technical Skills: Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD, 3ds Max / SketchUp, and rendering software (V-Ray / Corona). Strong hands-on knowledge of lighting, color coordination, and material selection is mandatory.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to proactively identify aesthetic/functional flaws in running showrooms and propose independent, cost-effective design solutions.
- Project Coordination: Strong capability to manage and negotiate with on-site contractors, vendors, and labor to ensure execution aligns perfectly with the design.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to explain design concepts clearly to management.
- Mobility: Must be willing to travel and visit different showroom locations frequently for supervision and quality checks.
